The Association of Agricultural Economists of the Republic of Macedonia (AAEM) is an association of citizens – agricultural economists, established with free joining of citizens, in order to realize and harmonize their professional, scientific and social interests as well for the purpose of performing activities in order to unify and organize its members about the problems associated with the economy in the agro-complex. AAEM also associates agricultural economists with other interested parties (honorary and accompanying members), to provide advice and ideas on specific economic and political issues in the field of agriculture, food industry and rural development in the Republic of Macedonia.

Since its inception in 1997, the citizens are joining AAEM in order to achieve a wider common interest, which is the development of sustainable agriculture and rural areas in the Republic of Macedonia.
