Western Balkans Regional Expert and National Expert from North Macedonia on the Agricultural Policy Monitoring project at Germany - Western Balkans Agricultural Policy Dialogue (APD-WB) project

Short description: ZAEM served as a Regional Expert and National Expert to the Agricultural Policy Monitoring project to conduct a comparative analysis of agricultural sectors and rural areas in the pre-accession countries: agricultural policy developments, situation of the agri-food sector and economic context in the Western Balkans. The following activities were conducted:

• Coordinate, provide feedback on the scientific quality to the National Experts regarding the collection of information on agricultural policy developments in the WB countries/territories, and provide harmonized and consistent database including the information collected by the National Experts with the methodological tool called APM (Agri-Policy Measures tool).

• Develop methodology, coordinate, provide feedback on the national reports/policy briefs regarding agricultural policy developments and alignment of the policy in the country/territory with the EU CAP in Chapters 11 and 12 (12 methodology wise) in the respective countries/territories: the methodology serve as a monitoring tool for the integration process;

• Final Methodology, APM, Statistics, and Report.
